ABOUT YOUR AKC ENTRY

Check the days and classes you want to enter at the TOP OF THE FORM
I'm not a mindreader -- so when you send, say, enough $$ for 2 days' entries, you need to tell me which days!!  You do that at the top of the form.  Check each day you want to enter and each class you want to enter.

Forms must be filled in completely.
Even if you have sent me entries for the last 10 years for the same dog, please don't omit any required information.  And AKC does require your dog's breeder, sire and dam to be listed on the form.  Forms missing significant information will be returned.  You must list your dog's height at the withers.  If you don't know what it is, give me your very best estimate.

Forms must be legible.
If I can't read it, it is not a valid entry and will be returned.  If you send me an email address, PLEASE make sure it's legible.

Send a copy of your dog's height card.
Every time -- no exceptions.  Cards are not kept on file, and even though I've seen it many times, I need to have a copy to attach to your entry form.  And speaking of that, PLEASE cut the copy down to card size and do not send me a full sheet (or even a half sheet) of paper.  Always bring your card to the trial, as there are times when a judge or a rep may ask to see it.

Check your math!
Entries without sufficient fees will be returned.

Don't forget to send the agreement portion of the form.
The Agreement is part of your entry form, and entries that are lacking the agreement will be returned.

Do not staple your check to the entry form.
Everything can be loose in the envelope or paper clipped together.  Or you may staple or tape a copy of your dog's height card to the entry form (preferably over the agreement).  Just don't staple the check to anything!

Make sure my email address is added to your "OK" list.
If you send a legible email address to me, I assume that is how you want to receive confirmations, notices and be contacted.

When inquiring about your entry, use your dog's call name.
My data base keeps dogs filed by call name -- if you ask me to move Baron de von Fleigherstein up from Novice to Open, I have no idea who that dog is.  Just tell me it's FIDO, and I'll find him easily.

Check your entry acknowledgement and formal confirmation carefully.
If I have made an error in your entry, or you have entered the wrong class or the wrong day, the time to let me know is when you receive the original email acknowledgement of your entry.  After closing, I can only change your dog's class or jump height due to either a move-up or a measure-up (or a measure-down in the case of Preferred).

ABOUT YOUR USDAA ENTRY

Several of the points listed above apply equally to USDAA entries:

Forms must be filled in completely.
Don't forget to mark your dog's jump height or to list his height at the withers.  Just check ONE jump height, unless you are entering two different programs.  If you don't know which program your dog should be in, ask me, e.g., don't just mark both P1 and Starters.

Forms must be legible.

Check your math.

Don't staple checks to anything.

Add my email address to your 'ok' list.

Use your dog's call name when inquiring about his entry.

Check your entry acknowledgement and formal confirmation carefully.
You may change your entry up until the move-up deadline, but after that, I will make no changes except for measure-ups-- whether it was your error or my error.
